My Favorite Brunette (1947)

This movie is hilarious.   Bob Hope plays Ronnie Jackson, a baby photographer, who wants to be a private detective.  When Ronnie is mistaken for his neighbor detective Sam McCloud, Baroness Carlotta Montay (Dorothy Lamour) hires him to find her missing uncle, who is on a top secret mission.  Ronnie doesn't know if he wants to work for her though, after her uncle's former partner Major Montague (Charles Dingle) tells him that Carlotta is insane.  The rest of the movie is about Ronnie and Carlotta falling in love; Ronnie trying to find evidence to capture the bad guys, and the bad guys trying to get a map from Ronnie, that Carlotta gave him.  Alan Ladd and Bing Crosby make a very fun cameo appearance.   My Favorite Brunette is a very funny movie.  I wrote this post for the 1st Annual Bing and Bob Blogathon hosted by Hoofers and Honeys of the Classic Movie Era. https://knwiniarski.com/the-1st-annual-bing-and-bob-blogathon-is-here/

(I have so many favorite films, so this is only a list of some of my favorites.)     Shall We Dance (1937) with Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Edward Everett Horton, and Eric Blore.  I know Shall We Dance is not one of Fred and Ginger's more popular films, but it's one of my favorites. I love the music, the dancing, the comedy, the fashions, and the Art Deco sets.       Road To Rio (1947) with Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, and Dorothy Lamour.  This movie is just so hilarious. Bing and Bob break the forth wall multiple times. Bing sings some great songs, and does a fun number with The Andrews Sisters.     Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954) with Howard Keel and Jane Powell.  Growing up I never liked musicals, but I did like th
